Inspired by the ancient tale from Hebrew and Christian scriptures, the story follows Ruth, a Moabitess child sold into the temple of Chemosh and raised to serve as a priestess. Years later, while preparing a sacred ritual, she encounters a Judean family of artisans whose quiet faith intrigues her. Drawn to their God and to the gentle Mahlon, Ruth begins to question everything she’s known. But when grief shatters her world, she makes a fateful choice to follow Naomi, Mahlon's mother, into a new life in Bethlehem—one that will change the course of history.
